Happy New Year!

Put on your party hats and sound your noise makers! It is time to ring in the 2008 Disney style! Here’s what is happening at the parks...

Magic Kingdom is celebrating the New Year with extended park hours from 8 am to 1 am. There will be double the parades and fire works to make this night extra special. The streets will be filled with excitement with two showings of the “SpectroMagic” parade at 7 and 10:30. Count down the magic with “Holiday Wishes” fireworks at 8:30pm and “Fantasy in the Sky” at 11:50.

There will be a special presentation of Epcot’s "IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth" laser-light spectacular. Latin crossover band Papo's Groove and DJ Indio Davila will keep you entertained at America Gardens Theatre, while the big band sound of the Tom Butler Orchestra will fill World Showplace. Rock out at Scooter's dance party at the Fountain Stage, or techno rock at the China pavilion, and classic rock 'n' roll at the Italy pavilion in World Showcase. The park will be open from 8 a.m.-1 a.m.

Disney-MGM Studios is still aglow with the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. Millions of lights dazzle the Streets of America back lot through January 6, 2008. Special entertainment includes three showings of "Fantasmic!" fireworks at 6:30, 8:30 and 10 p.m. and a incredible display of fireworks at midnight.

Join the outrageous street party at Disney's Animal Kingdom for "Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Expedition" parade starring all of your favorite Disney friends. Park hours are from 8 a.m.-8

Keep in mind, Magic Kingdom generally sells out rather quickly the morning of and Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and MGM shortly after so be sure to purchase your tickets in advance and arrive extra early to avoid the lines at the gate.

Presidentially Pardoned Turkey


The Thanksgiving tradition of pardoning a turkey continues this year with not one but two grateful gobblers. This year the President decided to pardon two turkeys that would have otherwise been killed as a food source.

This just in...More news about the turkeys. The turkeys are not just visiting 1400 Pennsylvania Ave., as soon as they receive their official pardon they are off to Disney World in a first class flight.

Islands of Adventure Has So Much to Offer

Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure has over a dozen attractions to enjoy. With so many choices, it can be hard what to choose what to start with. So we thought it would be best to give you a snapshot of a few things for you'll see on your next visit to Universal Orlando Resort's Islands of Adventure.

The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man: This NEW ride is based upon the hugely popular Spider Man movie franchise and promises to be take the enthusiasts through many of the adventures in the movies. The ride incorporates 3-d technology and the latest in physical engineering to guarantee a thrill for all who dare.

Jurassic Park: This complex is another spin-off from the movie franchise that stays true to all of the elements that we love from the movies. On the ride you enjoy the relaxed boat ride through the Jurassic Tropics, then out of nowhere you are chased through the park by giant ravenous reptiles to a surprise at the end. The complex also includes an informative dinosaur exhibit, kid-friendly ambulatory tour of the tropics, and Pteradon simulation.

Suess Landing: Catering to a slightly younger crowd, this part of the park includes a carousel with Seuss characters from all of the spastic and classic stories, trolley ride, and universal express' Cat in the Hat performance.

Dr. Doom's Fearfall: Dr. Doom is a famed Spiderman character and if you like extreme excitementm, than this is the ride for you!!! Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls: A warm weather favorite where almost everyone gets soaked. With no restraints on the ride, you will have no other feeling but excitement and the soaking is sure to cool you down.

Dueling Dragons: One of the highest rated roller coasters in the nation, the Dueling Dragons ride is designed to be the best ride you'll ever take. There are two simultaneous rides set out in opposite directions. The rides are weighes seconds before the start and the riders are surprised by the crossing of paths with the other coaster, giving you a snapshot of the ride you're in enjoying.
